. DOWNLOADS The Pitmen lose back to back away games in a week, as they crash to defeat at FC United of Manchester this afternoon to add to the loss at Marine in midweek. The hosts won after an impressive second half showing, with Matthew Wolfenden and Mike Norton scoring the goals to seal all three points against a poor Hednesford side, with new signings Jermaine Johnson and Michael Ricketts making their respective debuts

Jermaine Johnson Defenders Jermaine Johnson and Michael Ricketts have given the Pitmen a boost ahead of their tough trip to Gigg Lane tomorrow, with the two players joining the Pitmen from TNS and Barrow respectively. Centre back Johnson is a former Derby County trainee, who has had two spells at Stafford Rangers before joining TNS last summer. Left sided Ricketts has played for Tamworth and Burton Albion before joining big spending St. Neots last summer. After just two appearances, he was given a chance to impress at Barrow. Welcome both

. . Gary Hay The Pitmen could not follow up their weekend heroics in Liverpool tonight, as Marine take advantage of a tired Hednesford side to claim all three points. Neil Harvey's first half goal was enough to settle the game for the hosts, with the Pitmen toiling in the second half as a the large number of away games played recently counted against them. Saturday's goal hero Gary Hay went closest for the Pitmen, but to no avail, with a powerful run and drive

. . Chris Clements Hednesford move into second place in the Evo-Stik Premier League table with a superb win over league leaders Chester this afternoon. The Pitmen made light of the windy conditions and expectant 3,300-plus crowd by racing into a two goal lead, with Chris Clements curling a brilliant first and Gary Hay firing home number two. Matty McGinn reduced arrears with a penalty at the end of the first half, but Rob Smith's side held firm in a determined second half display to earn all three points - it was also Chester's first home defeat of the season

. . Cheyenne Dunkley A topsy-turvy encounter at the Weaver Stadium sees the Pitmen somehow manage to come away a point, despite going down to nine men for the third match this season. After Michael Lennon had scored his 100th goal for Nantwich, skipper Darren Campion was sent off for an alleged elbow. A rousing second half display from Rob Smith's side saw Cheyenne Dunkley powerfully head the Pitmen level, before Jamey Osbourne was also sent off. Incredibly, Dunkley gave the Pitmen the lead after bundling the ball home, but Si Everall grabbed an equaliser to give Nantwich a share of the points

. . Pedro Monteiro The Pitmen have been dealt a massive blow this evening as news has filtered out of the club regarding the future of Pedro Monteiro. The former West Brom and Southampton centre back has announced he is to leave the club and take up an offer from a club closer to his Southampton home. The big defender had recently moved back to Hampshire with his family, and was travelling up to Staffordshire with his family every week for games. Having been one of the club's most consistent performers this term, Pedro's departure will leave a huge hole in the side. We thank Pedro for his efforts and wish him luck in he future

. . Darren Campion The Pitmen have to settle for a point this afternoon, as they come from behind to earn a draw against an impressive Bradford Park Avenue side. The hosts failed to test Avenue in a disappointing first half, and it was little surprise when Tom Greaves headed Bradford ahead at the break. However, the introduction of new signing Mark Beesley gave the Pitmen extra impetuous up front, and Darren Campion's deflected free kick rescued a point for Rob Smith's misfiring side

. . Mark Beesley Manager Rob Smith has made good on his promise to shake his squad up ahead of a tough month for his side, as he brought two experienced players to the club today, as well as releasing two. Firstly the ins, and it's welcome to striker Mark Beesley, who joins from Burscough. The former Forest Green and Cambridge man in currently the second top scorer in the league this season. It's a welcome back to Liam Blakeman, who returns to Keys Park from Bootle FC after a loan spell here last term. With two coming in, unfortunately it means two out, and squad men Mark Danks and Chris Shaw have been released to find new clubs

. . Marvin Robinson

Hednesford complete a memorable, and historic, league double over their old rivals today, as Marvin Robinson once again proves the difference between the sides, as he had done in the August meeting at Keys Park. A typically frenetic local derby was decided by Robinson's close range strike just before half time, with the second half seeing Rob Smith and Rangers assistant manager Dorian Garner sent to the stands and Chris Clements miss a late penalty kick

In front of the biggest crowd of the season, Hednesford are beaten by local rivals Chasetown to continue the Pitmen's mini-slump in the league. Darren Stride's bundled effort on the hour won the game for Chris Brindley's side, with the hosts failing to create any real clear cut openings during a desperate second half

The Pitmen fail to keep pace with Chester at the top of the table this afternoon, as a controversial penalty earns in-form Worksop all three points at Sandy Lane. Despite having a number of chances in the second half, Mark Hudson took advantage of a poor decision from the assistant referee to fire home a fifty fifth minute penalty and settle the game

. . Andre Carvalho-Landell The Pitmen have added to their squad ahead of today's game against Mickleover Sports with the signings of forward Andre Carvalho-Landell and goalkeeper Tony Breeden. Landell joins from Blue Square Bet Premier strugglers Bath City, and is a former Wolves trainee. Breeden has been signed on loan from another Blue Square Bet Premier side, Kidderminster Harriers, on a one-game loan. An experienced keeper at this level, Breeden has been number one at the likes of Leamington and Rushall Olympic in recent times, and with deputise for the suspended Dan Crane for today's game. A frustrating afternoon for the Pitmen, as they are held to a draw by struggling Ashton United at Keys Park. . . The club have confirmed a number of fixture changes to their Evo-Stik campaign, after a number of enforced postponements to other sides involved in cup action. Hednesford will now travel to Gigg Lane to face FC United of Manchester on Saturday 28th January, meaning a tough month is now in store for Rob Smith's side at the turn of the year

. . Dan Crane A nightmare afternoon from start to finish for the poor Pitmen, who suffer a heavy defeat at struggling Stocksbridge this afternoon. The wheels began to fall off the Hednesford wagon after Dan Crane was shown a red card for handling outside the penalty area in the first half. Left winger Darren Campion went between the posts, and managed to keep the score goalless at half time. However, second half goals from Brian Cusworth (2), Jack Muldoon and Mark Ward earned the hosts a crucial three points. To further compound matters, substitute Marvin Robinson was also red carded for verbal abuse late on

. . POSTED 26.11.2011 GOMES RETURNS TO OLYMPIC
. . Decio Gomes The club have today confirmed that they have waved a seven day rule from local rivals Rushall Olympic to allow defender Decio Gomes to return to Dales Lane. The Portuguese player has been limited to a handful of substitute appearances this season, with compatriot Pedro Monteiro and Cheyenne Dunkley enjoying good form as the Pitmen's first choice centre back partnership. We wish Decio well at Rushall, where he is likely to make his debut against Stafford Rangers today. The Pitmen have moved to add to their squad by putting teenager Lewis Suckling, a member of the Pitmen's successful youth set-up, on Northern League forms ahead of today's trip to Stocksbridge Park Steels

A fantastic opening salvo from the Pitmen simply blew their local rivals away, as Gary Hay, Elliott Durrell and Chris Clements scored to put the Pitmen three up. Ahmed Obeng reduced the deficit just before half time, but Ben Jevons' second half goal sealed three points for the Pitmen, who also had Pedro Monteiro sent off for two bookable offences

. . Kyle Haynes Right wing back Kyle Haynes has further boosted the in-form Pitmen today with the announcement that he has signed a permanent deal with the club. The 19 year-old was released by his parent club, League Two side Cheltenham Town, this morning, and wasted no time in agreeing a deal with the Pitmen, where he has spent three months on loan this season. Haynes has been one of the Pitmen's most consistent players in recent games, and most Hednesford supporters will be delighted to see Haynes agree a deal to continue his duties in the number two shirt

Rob Smith's side were good value for a two goal first half lead, with Clements scoring a third just a minute after Buxton felt they had got back into the game through Neil Stevens' header. Marvin Robinson gave the away side the lead before limping off, but lax defending allowed James Lukic to equalise just a minute later.
