Fleet-footed former Shrewsbury Town youngster, comfortable in any position down the left hand side, who joined the Pitmen in July 2009

A product of the Shrews' Academy, Gibson worked his way through the ranks to become a second year scholar, making eleven appearances for the team's reserve side during the 2008-2009 campaign, on top of nine appearances the previous season. Released by the Shrews at the end of the 2008-2009 season, he was soon snapped up by Hednesford, looking for a new left-back

He made his debut for the Pitmen in a 4-1 friendly win over Heath Hayes, winning man of the match for his efforts, and has been impressive in the early games this term. After seeing off the threat of Theo Stair early in the campaign, Gibson lost his place to loanee Zak Martin, culminating in Gibson being loaned out to Highgate United for a month to stay match fit

His loan to Highgate, alongside Adam Overton, was cut short when Bernard McNally recalled the youngster after returning to he club in January 2010. He finished the season in possession of the number three shirt after seizing his chance in March and rarely letting Martin have a chance. Played in the play-off semi final defeat to Chippenham Town in April 2010

After talks with McNally, Gibson agreed a deal to return to Keys Park for the 2010-2011 season in June
