. Experienced central defender who joined the Pitmen in August 2010 after leaving fellow Zamaretto League Premier side Halesowen Town A much-traveled player in recent years, having started out at in the Conference with Forest Green Rovers, he joined fellow Conference side Farnborough in January 2005 after being released by Rovers After a spell in Hampshire, he returned to his native Midlands in the summer of 2005, joining another Conference club, Tamworth. He was a virtual ever-present for the Lambs during the early part of the season, making twenty starts for the struggling side before joining Bernard McNally's AFC Telford side in February 2006 He established himself as a fan's favourite at The New Bucks Head, helping them to promotion from the UniBond Premier League the following season after winning in the play-offs against Witton Albion He was named as skipper of the Bucks at the start of the 2007-2008 season, enjoying a fine campaign that saw him sweep the board at the end of season awards. On the pitch, Telford again made the play-offs, losing to eventual winner Barrow over two legs The 2008-2009 season was a struggle for Turner, as injuries stunted his progress. He was loaned out to Southern League side Bromsgrove Rovers for a month in October 2008 in order to get some match practice Despite starting the 2009-2010 season at Telford, he was soon on his way, moving back to the Derby area to join fellow Blue Square South side Eastwood Town. His debut for the Badgers was, ironically, against former club Telford a week later. In his nine appearances at Coronation Park, he was red-carded twice, against Corby Town and Southport. In February 2010, he joined Halesowen, where he made his debut at Keys Park and scored against the Pitmen in a 2-2 draw The Yeltz's well-publicised off-the-field issues saw a number of their talented squad leave the Grove in the summer of 2010, with Turner one of that number to depart. He went on trial at Blue Square North newcomers Nuneaton Town, before linking up with the Pitmen in their final warm-up game of pre-season against Kidderminster Harriers. The following week, Turner agreed a deal to stay at Keys Park for the forthcoming season
