Powerful front man who made the move across the Chase to join the Pitmen from local rivals Stafford Rangers in December 2010

A well-established name in local semi-professional football, Wellecomme came to prominence playing for local side Brocton, scoring over seventy goals in two seasons before moving to Newcastle Town in the summer of 2006

Again, he was prolific for the North West Counties side, grabbing goals for the Blues and sparking interest from other non-league sides in the process. Eventually, hometown club Stafford came in for him in March 2008, and were immediately rewarded with four goals in eight games. However, his late season glut of goals was not enough to save Rangers from relegation from the Blue Square Premier

After agreeing a deal to stay at Marston Road during the 2008-2009 season, Wellecomme hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, as he was jailed for eight months in October 2008 for his part in a brawl in Stafford earlier in the year. He served four months, before being released to link up with Stafford once again

His topsy-turvy season took another turn in April 2009, when his father was killed in a motorbike accident. Wellecomme overcame his grief to play that evening in the Staffs Senior Cup Final against Kidsgrove Athletic

2009-2010 saw Wellecomme's career take an upturn in fortune, as he scored regularly for Rangers in a difficult Blue Square North campaign. He was rewarded for his displays by manager Chris Brindley by handing the striker the captaincy for the remainder of the season in January 2010

The summer of 2010 saw Wellecomme on the move, as a number of clubs showed an interest in him. Big spending Corby Town won the battle to sign him, with the player signing non-contract forms with the Steelmen

Three weeks after signing for Corby, it was reported that Wellecomme had been released by the club after a changes in his work patterns meant he could not commit to the club long term. He was free to link up again with Rangers, but endured a frustrating start to the 2010-2011 season as injury kept him out of the side. Made an instant impact upon his arrival at Keys Park, scoring the winner on his debut at Leamington and grabbing a further ten goals to compliment strike partners Kyle Patterson and Danny Quinn as Hednesford missed out on promotion by the width of a post

Nick's tireless, unselfish displays for the Pitmen turned him into a crowd favourite, so news of Wellecomme signing a new deal with Hednesford for 2011-2012 was welcomed by the Keys Park faithful
